I’ve put the coin for scale.
it’s not massive but the blister is quite big and quite deep.
My mother is campaigning for me to go to the GP tomorrow or minor injuries but beyond sticking a covering on it what would they do?

I’m not sure - she’s here with me and nagging me about it 🤣.
i don’t want to go if unnecessary because I don’t want to waste their time.
i will check the app and see how long the wait is.

And she’s right! Grin

I know the waits can be horrendous, but honestly you need that seeing to. Just think, if you went when she’d first told you to go you’d be further on in the queue already.

The nurse will likely burst the blister and dress it. If you show that to a pharmacist, they'll tell you to go to minor injuries.

I was hoping because it’s not that big it would be ok.
i do have some dressing I could use.
They are open til 8pm at minor injuries.

It will probably be ok without treatment, I've done similar but it's best to be cautious, your gp might have a nurse who can dress it

I also think its an A&E but at the very, very least get to minor injuries tonight.

It covers are significant portion of your arm and that blistering is bad.

Don't dither with this.

Anunusualfamily · 20/10/2022 18:18

It’s not necessarily the surface size that is the concern but the depth of the burn. Assume you did good first aid after it happened? 20 minutes under cold water? YoU should probably get it looked at. The Blister looks a bit cloudy in the photo so that could be pus and will need to come out as may start an infection

caringcarer · 20/10/2022 18:36

MI. It looks nasty and painful.

pnutter · 20/10/2022 18:40

It's the depth plus it looks infected . Get your arse down there now.

bibetyboo · 20/10/2022 18:44
