help - effects and advice after coming off pill

I came off the pill (logynon) last September (not TTC - I just wanted to remove synthetic hormones from my body and try and get a better "balance" with myself - also have no children/have never been pregnant if that makes a difference)

Anyway since then I have had various side effects - acne on my face, back and chest, irregular periods, some random hairs sprouting soooo tired etc etc

GP ran some hormonal blood tests to check there was nothing more sinister (initially thought a possible PCOS)- all clear but they are doing a scan this week just to check everything is ok and rule out anything sinister - I expect all to be well.

I have since been reading as much as I can about the effects of long term pill taking (now 35 been on since about 18 with some shorts breaks here and there) and am learning about the vitamin deficiencies that long term use can have on your body and the effects that removing the synthetic hormones can do - hence the effects I am having.

I think what I am asking for is some real life stories of how long it took for others bodies to return to "normal" after coming off the pill (It has been over a year for me and things are improving but still not 100%) and also any other advice/tips? I have read it is important to take B vitamins as the pill can strip your body of those and also foods to support liver function to help your body clear out the synthetic hormones (hence the tiredness)

I just wish I had done more research at the time so I could have started sooner but I was so niaive and thought I could just come off and in a month or two all would be fine - the GP didn't provide any practical support around this.

Any real life stories, experiences, advice welcome :)
