Need to wee all the time.. no infection?

For the past 10 days, maybe more. I need to wee all the time. I mean the only relief I get is straight after I've had a wee, and within 5-10 mins I feel like I need to go again. If anything at all is in my bladder it feels like it's full and painful. Doctors tested my urine and it was clear so they were stumped. I have had some symptoms of bloating and some lower tummy pain.
It's exhausting as it's waking me in the night.
Anyone had anything similar?

The dipstick tests and cultures are not accurate. You likely have a uti that is notbbeing picked up. Research chronic uti and embedded uti.

This. .

Same thing happened to me. I needed to spend 5 days in hospital on an IV. Please get it investigated further.

Have you tried any antibiotics? I had your exact symptoms, took antibiotics and they didn’t test urine at all so no idea if it would have shown infection. Cleared up within a day.

Menopause?

Embedded UTI possibly

Also Interstitial cystitis/ painful bladder - can be caused by too many mast cells reacting in the bladder to high histamine levels - eg from citrus

ive had both concurrently.

look up Professor Khullar - think he has some talks on you tube - he is brilliant

@BritishDesiGirl I know this is an old post, but I'm just wondering how you managed to get IV antibiotics for your embedded UTI please?

My situation is that I have had problems with UTI all my life even before I remember lol. I sometimes get infections which show up on the NHS culturing (it's a really high threshold), but more often than not they only show up on the private testing. I had an infection recently which NHS culturing says is now 'treated' with Nitrofurantoin, but it has not gone away. It's resistant to a lot of antibiotics except Nitro and IV. How on earth do I get IV to knock it out, when they are saying it is treated.

@stopthemachine

Hi, they found the infection when l did a routine urine sample at my antenatal appointment.

I would that they send your sample to the lab at the hospital as it is just basic testing at the GPs.

I have also suffered with UTIs for 20 yrs. They have been the bane of my life and l completely understand where you are coming from.
