dts nearly 10mths are teething and won't take medicine either by spoon or syringe. Can I put it in the bottle?

Thank you

The problem with that is if they don't drink the whole bottle.

Get someone to hold them and aim the syringe in small doses into the side of their mouths. Harder to spit out then.

Might not be good for the teeth.

I know that you can put calpol in fromage fraise, as long as your dc eats the stuff within 30 mins of mixing it in (I phoned and asked the company). Would that work, do you think?

If you stroke their throats gently when putting the medicine in with the syringe, they'll tend to swallow. It is a 2 person job, mind. I do sympathise - dd used to really battle the syringe, but has lately taken to the Nurofen syringe, and so I tend to use that for everything.

good points will try syringe now as I have help for the next hour (dh is working away)

We put reflux meds in dd's bottle, its the only way we can get her to take them. Works for calpol/nurofen when needed, too - she has very few teeth, which we brush, so think its ok in that respect at her age (14 mos).

If your LO is unlikely to drink their whole bottle (mine always finishes her night time bottle) then you could give it in a half or third of their usual amount, then give more milk afterwards.

GOod luck

thank you all

success with the syringe this evening (1st time in ages) but it is worth knowing about the fromage frais and less milk in bottle tricks
