Looking for a good gastroenterologist in London

Hello,

Can anybody advise of a good gastroenterologist?

It has now been more than a year since my daughter is having stomach pain everyday. She tried several diets, a lot of different medicines, she had endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, blood tests, several tests for specific bacteria etc. However nothing really helps.

Endoscopy discovered hiatal hernia, but her GP said it is unrelated and in any case no treatment exists for this. Finally her GP said she has "irritated stomach".

She avoids eating a lot of food products, e.g. lactose, gluten etc. and her nutritionist keeps advising her about different diet style, but all in vain. She is just 23, and she indeed suffers, sometimes she even cannot work in the office because of constant pain.

She went to a private gastroenterologist, but he just advised to be on a "good diet". She is waiting for an appointment with the gastroenterologist her GP referred to, but her appointment is only in January.

Can anybody advise of a private gastroenterologist who would be helpful?
In any case will be grateful for any advise.

Dr Nigel Meadows. He's at the Royal London, not sure where his private practice is now, we saw him in Brentwood but he was fantastic. DD was under him for around 5 years.

Prof Stuart Bloom at UCH was fantastic

Did they suggest ppi for her hernia or surgery. Are they investigating her for endometriosis, chrons, diverticular disease.

Sorry no idea if this will be any help as its more related to the hernia, but if you are worried about that side of things you can always consider hernia treatment from someone who a specialist field, instead of seeing your normal GP to see if its related to any of the other problems shes having.
