Burning at top of stomach

I'm hoping this is just indigestion but does anyone have any suggestions?
On Tuesday I had a migraine all day and a tension headache which I get a lot. I took Naproxen and Co codamol on and off all day and aspirin a couple of times too as I had ran out of my rizatriptan. I eventually got to sleep and on Wednesday I woke up with burning in my stomach right under my breast bone and couldn't eat at all. It felt like I couldn't breathe out properly without it being sore. I got some antacids and tried those but it still hurt, coming in waves. Almost felt like a stomach rumbling of pain in the area under my breastbone. I phoned the Dr today but no appointments. Found some of my daughters omperazole 20mg which I googled is the adult dose too. That's not helped me at all today. When I got the naproxen the nurse said I might need some stomach protection from it but said to see how I got on.
I'm just a bit worried now since antacids or omeprazole not working but I'm thinking maybe it would take some time to work.
I'll phone gp again tomorrow but if anyone has experience of this how did it go away? I had bad indigestion in pregnancy but I don't remember it feeling like this.
If anyone has any idea what this could be please share. Thanks

It could be acid reflux. I had it for years before finally being properly investigated. I had to have a proton pump inhibitor for a few weeks to settle it but now I can usually use over the counter meds. I've found mine is hormonal, a couple of my joints are noticeably looser and I'm more likely to have reflux at certain times of the month. Definitely worth checking with your gp.

I get bad stomach pain with ibuprofen and it can take days to go. It's so miserable that I'd rather suffer the original pain. I don't know what the pain means (ie has it burned my tubes? Caused a little ulcer? Cramping?), but only avoiding ibuprofen and cocodamol works. Your gp is probably a good call.

If I took naproxen, cocodamol and aspirin my stomach would be in bits, I have to be very careful with tablets. Did you take them on an empty stomach? If so it's probably irritated your stomach lining. It's happened to me before when I've taken a lot of painkillers. Omeprazole does help me usually but it takes a few days to work. I usually eat bland food as well when it happens. You could definitely speak to your GP if you're worried.

You may have given yourself a bout of gastritis. Inflammation of the stomach lining I think. Worth a call to the gp if it continues. Keep an eye on your poo, any that look like coffee grounds straight to a&e.

@pupuffylovett problem is I'm now constipated probably with the Co codamol.
I think the tablets have definitely caused this but the migraine was awful and over compensated for lack of a triptan. Hopefully I can speak to gp tomorrow but reassuring to know it might take time to go away. Stupidly thought an omeprazole would work quickly! Annoying not being able to eat but feel hungry. Go to eat something and the pain is immediately back like burning. Does sound like acid now I say that.

Naproxen gave me intense pain and I burnt my oesophagus from the reflux. Omeprazole and stopping the naproxen helped but the Omeprazole takes a couple of days to work.
