Are you anaemic, by any chance? What's your diet like? Are you drinking plenty of water?

GreatAuntieWurly · 25/01/2008 20:55

have been anaemic during both pregnancies.

I feel exactly the same, GAW. No obvious reason for it, but I'm excessively tired.

ZippiBabes · 25/01/2008 20:55

depression, anaemia.actual tiredness for a good reason, lack of exercise, post viral syndrome, eating the wrong foods?

No exercise does it for me...and makes me bad tempered and generally foul. Feels like the last thing you want to do but go running or something....try the mumsnet link for handy hints and support.

Think you should go to your doctor and get checked out...could be a number of things - thyroid problems. ME etc....best to get some advice from your GP though.

thefunkypea · 25/01/2008 20:59

Probably a long shot but maybe worth getting ablod test for thyroid function - my pregnancy made my thyroid go all over the place and I couldn't do anything for tiredness

PurplePillow · 25/01/2008 20:59

Have you had your thyroid function tested?

I ask because that how i felt before i was diagnosed. If your not sure ask your doctor to do a blood test for it and even if it comes back normal then at least its something you've ruled out.

Good luck hope you feel better soon

Agree with cluckyagain. I felt like that over the Christmas holiday. Too much food, too little exercise.
Now back into the routine, normal diet and swimming/walking, less loafing around.

But, don't dismiss it. If things really don't feel right, get a check up at the GP.

Hope you're feeling more lively again soon.

What's your diet like? Are you eating lots of carbohydrates - bread, pasta, rice, sugar, etc? These can all make you feel sluggish and constantly tired.

GreatAuntieWurly · 25/01/2008 21:11

think I shall have to make an appointment with the doctor and see what he says. Our diet is good (ds1 has a weight problem so we are quite careful what we all eat), i'm walking loads (back into the normal school run routine), I do suffer depression but have been ok recently havent felt down at all.
