Glasses question

Evening, a glasses question , does anyone have a similar prescription to me and how often do you wear them? Just curious because my optician advised TV, lecture hall etc but I feel a huge difference already and feel better even wandering around the house with them.

Right eye: SPH - 1.75 CYL - 0.50 AXIS 5.0

Left eye: SPH - 1.50 CYL - 0.50 AXIS 180.0

Thanks, and understand it's best to go off my optician's advice and not having a go, just curious really!

Mine are a little different but similar enough to answer you. I wear mine for everything but reading and any other similarly close work. My optician said to wear them this way. I cannot believe I have been walking around with vision this blurred!

@fantasmasgoria1 Thanks for your reply! That’s how I feel, the difference is amazing. Did you had issues with a sort of eye fatigue/tired feeling? I feel more awake with them as well which is nice!

Mine are similar, I wear them all the time other than when I’m reading. I feel a bit drunk walking around without them on to be honest ha!

Ha I know what you mean @Abouttimemum also I didn’t realise other people could see expressions/faces that clearly from across the street. 🤣 I’m always pulling funny faces etc or so now I’m embarrassed!

For that prescription it will be a lot clearer wearing them all the time and won't do you any harm. I will just say that everybody has different visual acuity's (basically what line you can see on the testing chart) even with glasses on. For example someone could have a smaller prescription but not be able to see as well so it's all dependant on that really.

@whereareyousleep Oh that’s interesting to know, thank you! 😊

Mine is very similar to this and wear mine all the time. Only take them off for swimming really, and would be fairly blurry otherwise.

Is it normal to get eye strain that feels like a fatigue feeling without them?

Thanks for the replies!
