Since having DC Ive noticed that my brain doesnt seem to work as quick or as well as it did before.
If im nervous its even worse and I cant seem to find the right words to say. Also infomation seems to go in one ear and out the other. My job demands that I retain info and give presentations.
Yesterday I did one and came away thinking I spoke a whole lot of rubbish that even I didnt understand what I was trying to say. I must look a right idiot.
Is there anything herbal or vitamins etc that I can take which may improve my brain power or memory

In my Carol Vorderman Superbrain book (worth getting) there are lots of exercises for the brain and good tips. With regard to food/vitamins it says the following:

Vitamin B1, B5, B6, M12, Folic acid, iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, beta carotene, vitamin C and E, selenium. A good multi-vitamin should cover most of these but the book does say what are good food sources (e.g. selenium from brazil nuts etc)

You can get a lot of these in food, especially blueberries, leafy greens, oily fish, grape juice, brown rice, cranberries, turmeric, olive oil, garlic, cocoa.

I sometimes struggle with words, I find it's often cos my brain has whizzed on to the next thing so I just need to remind myself to slow down and stay focused.
