miles and miles of cars with just one person in it. clearly obviously in 2 catagories

parents/carers dropping children at school

office types going to work

now this was in the CITY CENTRE

children being dropping RIGHT at school gates - cant you get any fucking closer FFS i wanted to scream. holding up the traffic cos darling child wont walk 2 paces to gate.

and the office types were clearly heading into town
GET THE BUS OR WALK
they will be paying upwards of £10 to park in the town - sit in traffic for hours and hours when there are a million buses headng the same way

DRIVES ME NUTS

there are so many roadworks around my route home from work, it made it a lot lot worse. everyone is surely aware of these roadworks - its on the radio every 2 mins

I do understand yr point, but, you just don't know those peoples circumstances, for instance, our school is 1/2 hrs walk,we wlk to and fro each day except wed as i have to be at work an hour earlier that day, after dropping my child on the pave next to school(not on the yellow lines ,in a safe place..)i then drive into the city centre to work,it would be quicker to go on the train but i carry 2 massage tables and 2 bags of equip with me so that i can work.So i guess you could have seen me and thought the same thing. We did not have a car til we were both nearly 40, i need it for work.

yes i agree there are exceptions but it was mosty the office types in suits and shiny BM's and Mercs

they are just too above public transport thats their problem

oh right, well in that case i agree with you, i have an old scruffy car! I have often felt dead embarassed dropping my son off like this , and i know plenty of people who drive everywhere.
