I like beans, but they don't like me. They bloat me and give me dreadful wind.
It makes no difference whether I use them straight from the can or rinse them before adding them to stews. I've tried cooking them with fennel seeds, caraway seeds, ginger - very tasty, but still farty.
Lentils and chickpeas also give me wind, sometimes.
I'm fine with fresh beans. It's only the dried sort that are a problem.
Is there anything else I can do to enable me to eat beans?
