Is it possible to find an NHS dentist anymore?

We moved to our house 3 years ago now and in all that time we have never found an NHS dentist. I'm on universal credit and can't afford private dental treatment. What options do I have?

NHS choices is the best place to look. Unfortunately there are very few taking on NHS patients although a lot of them have space in the books for private so figure that one out.

No. I’ve been trying for 3 years. The 2 dentists in my town shut down and there’s none in the county

I had to sign up to one 30 minutes away... but my DC got into one 2 minutes Away. 🙄

There's just no NHS dentists, they are all leaving or going private. It's a shit show.

You may find one further afield? They aren’t like Drs in that you have to stick really local.
A friend has just found one a 30 min drive away -not an option for everyone I know, but needs must-have you tried outside your immediate area?
Its appalling, I’ve not had a check up for nearly 3 years and am in a huge amount of pain, I do have an NHS dentist but, after repeated cancellations and rearranging, I’m not holding my breath that I will be seen for my new appointment date in mid October that was booked back in May!

If after contacting several dental surgeries you still cannot find a dentist accepting NHS patients, call NHS England's Customer Contact Centre on 0300 311 2233

I've checked NHS choices but it's either no info or "no". I think I'll just have to ring all the ones that say "no info". I have rough skin that has appeared on my gums above my top front teeth. It's odd so wanted to get it checked out. I've just been paying for emergency treatment for the last 3 years when I needed it.
