15 year not had a period since covid jab in March, normal or not?

My 15 year old daughter had her 2nd covid vaccination in March and she's not had a period since. She had her first period last year so was quite late starting. She's not pregnant so do we just wait and see or should I contact our GP.

Are you sure she's not pregnant? And was she regular before the vaccination?

I started at 15, had one period, then nothing until I was 16. No idea what was going on but I have PMDD.

Not pregnant, no boyfriend, doesn't mix with boys other than school as always at dance, plus she'd be showing by now I'd imagine. Was fairly regular before covid jab.

You mention dance, is her BMI quite low? Being very slim can affect your periods.

jeffbezoz · 27/08/2022 18:22

Yes it's been cited in the adverse effects that it can affect periods but usually this is temporary...

'She'd be showing by now' Confused

Check she isn't pregnant.

Might be worth seeing a homeopath. This worked for me when the pill stopped my periods as a teen.

Wouldloveanother · 27/08/2022 18:24

Definitely buy her a test just to make sure. Either way a trip to the GP is probably in order.

Im for the vaccines but I think people are too easy to dismiss the vaccine as a potential cause of things. My dad went deaf in one ear a few days after the covid jab. There are yellow cards that you can complete if you believe that the vaccines have caused side effects so you may want to consider this if you haven't already. At least medical people whoever they are can then identify any trends and try to help people rather than just dismissing it.
