So let's start this by saying I'm epileptic. I had a seizure Monday morning and fell into the doorframe. Got a lovely bruise on my eyebrow.

I've had a blinding headache since Monday, paracetamol and ibuprofen aren't doing anything. I'm going to bed for peace and a lie down whenever I get the chance.

I started new medication on Sunday evening so this may also be making the headache linger.

Please send me your tips for getting rid of headaches.

Did you go to A&E??

I don't know about seizure induced headaches, and would suggest that you perhaps need to go see your doctor. However, I am a migraine sufferer and headaches are a constant part of my life.

I have found that putting an ice pack (wrapped in a towel) over my eyes and forehead whilst at the same time having a hot water bottle behind my neck works wonders. Something to do with allowing the muscles in your neck to relax which allows fresh oxygenated blood to flow to your brain.

Good luck. Go see your doctor.

Sounds like a call to the GP would be a good decision.

1 _ It could be a migraine which is hitting separate from everything else,
2_ It could be from hitting the doorframe, your eyebrow is bruised so you definitely hit it
3_ Concussion
4_ could be an effect of the new medication.
5_ could be something else entirely

Definitely make contact with GP / Epilepsy nurse as none of us can look thru the screen and check your eyes, responsive, and light sensitivity and they will be able to check you over.

If you cant get contact with them, please go to A+E

Phone call from nurse practitioner -take paracetamol and rest.

Might just take myself down to minor injuries as the headache is still going.

If it's been going on since Monday and paracetamol isn't helping I would give your Gp a ring . Hope you feel better soon

What is the new medication? Some medications cause horrendous headaches.

Mooovingonout · 25/08/2022 20:14

Spoke to nurse practitioner today, she advised paracetamol.

My new medication is briviacetam. Headaches are a side effect so I'm thinking it's all just a coincidence. GP surgery don't seem concerned. Will email epilepsy nurse in the morning if it gets any worse

Lots of people are getting headache problem due to spending several hours in the smart devices like TV, PC and smartphone/Tabs. These will surely encourage headache, so better to avoid using smart devices for long hours. Take healthy food diet and doing head massage for weekly thrice. Last thing is please seek doctor help.

Please don't take more and more pain killer medicines for your headache, it may be causes some side effects in the body.

If it has been checked out and it is just the pain that needs dealing with then syndol and tiger balm all over the forehead works wonders
