Discoid eczema - how do you treat yours?

Last year or so I've started to get v small patches of what looks like discoid eczema. It's mild and not widespread. Started getting a few patches on my legs now have some on the back of my neck.

It's not enough to bother the GP with though I must admit they are pretty unsightly.

I'm using a combination of emollients and eumovate or hc45. Is there anything else I'm missing? I've been prescribed eulocon/betnovate in the past (a long long time ago) but have nothing on my records so to even access those I would have to get an appointment and it's just not at that point yet!

Ive suffered from eczema my entire life and as been through many creams, courses of steroids, etc. The thing that i have found best above everything else is the lush massage bars!! It sounds quite stupid but those are one of the only things that have ever cleared up my eczema completely- don't know what it is that's in them! They were a god send for me and also leaves you smelling amazing which helps😂

Ooh thanks Mina. My daughter actually bought me one and I haven't used it yet! Is it the one that looks like it has brown beads in it? Sorry for the stupid question but how do you use it?

Yes that's the one! I usually like to put it on after a bath/shower and quite literally just warm it up in my hands and rub it all over! Don't know if that's how you're supposed to but i've done it for years and it's always worked!

I get this about this time every year after insect bites. It usually starts like another insect bite but there is no spot and it then continues until it is a patch of eczema. Usually only steroids will do but I have had some luck this year heading it off using La Roche sur Posay toleriane from as soon as the suspect itching starts. It is a sensitive moisturiser that I bought a while ago and had lying around the house.
