Fed up. Experienced the most intense surge of adrenaline that was coming in waves in my chest along with feeling faint, boiling hot, sweaty face and cold, clammy hands and feet while taking my children to the cinema today! Sounds like a panic attack doesn't it? But I am not anxious! I need so sort out what is wrong with me. Not getting far with GP's at all. With these symptoms, who should I seek to see privately?
Adrenaline surges - can last all day.
Feeling faint (not linked to posture)
Sweaty all the time - particularly face and head
Feel hot a lot of the time but can get random goosebumps at the same time
Episodes of fatigue
Episodes of nausea
Missed my period this month (first time ever - am 33, not pregnant and no history of family early meno)
Ectopic beats - getting these all the time now and they are awful!
Was getting pins and needles in limbs but not since raising my foltate.
Sometimes hedaches - had a constant one for 3/4 months in 2020/2021 every day which was so painful but resolved.
Sometimes weakness and tremors
Sometimes burning feet
Twitching - had one of these episodes laying down 2 weeks ago and my eyelids started to twitch uncontrollably.
Feel jittery
Went through a spell at night waking up with internal temors and nausea
Brain fog
Sometimes I can be talking and then feel like I forget how to do it properly and as if I will faint or something - very hard to describe
Breathless occassionally.
BP has dropped to around 90s/60s when I was always 120/70s.
Tachycardia. One episode of suatained at rest, the rest on mild exertion or positional changes.

So what the hell is wrong with me? I feel horrific!

Have you had your thyroid levels checked?

Mumma02 · 17/08/2022 16:00

Yes, not since April though. TSH was 1.85 and T4 was 14. That's all that was tested. Had it tested about 6 times this past year and always comes back at the 1. Something range.

You need more than your thyroid checking.

stayathomegardener · 17/08/2022 16:07

Sounds like long covid /cfs to me.

Ridingthegravytrain · 17/08/2022 16:13

Dysautonomia with pots?

vivainsomnia · 18/08/2022 11:14

Sounds all hormone related. I experienced all this when I was perimenopausal. You are young though so could just be a temporary issue.

Mumma02 · 18/08/2022 11:30

@vivainsomnia I am convinced at the moment that it is hormonal. Can't get in for any blood tests for at least 2 weeks though. Something is driving this. So scared that I experienced my first panic attack yesterday but I am not suffering from anxiety! Nobody cares or has an answer. I'm fine apparently.

Endocrinologist. You will likely have to pay. Probably £250 initial consultation, £350 full bloods, £150 follow-up consultation. Are you looking a bit tanned without tanning. DD had similar, Thyroid tests a bit odd but not out of ranges. GP refused to test free T3. I had her referred privately - her cortisol was off (I can't remember if it was high or low). It was Addisons disease. Funny how the GP has never mentioned it but is now fawningly attentive.

Mumma02 · 18/08/2022 13:07

@MercuryOnTheRise no not tanned, but definitely have low cortisol symptoms and my 8.45am cortisol test came back at 297 (I was told this was fine) but I've read otherwise. So points to adrenal insufficiency linked to pituitary I believe?

Sorry this thread is two years old but did you ever find out what's wrong ? As I've got the sane symptoms

Mumma02 · 20/06/2024 20:34

Still got lots of these symptoms on and off but not as bad as when I listed these. I haven't formally been diagnosed but very clearly have dysautonomia. No idea what caused it, but possibly pregnancy.
