Relaxing subconsciously tense muscles? Hypertonic/overactive pelvic floor

My pelvic floor muscles are always tensed, except when asleep. Had physio, and can now manage to relax fully with intense concentration and stretching/breathing exercises. I do this every day. But most of the time my pelvic floor is tense. I try to relax it as much as I can whenever I think of it, but I've been trying this for months now and it's still tight all the time.

It's been like this since childhood, and I do it with other muscles too, like my back. There is no cause for the tension, either physical or mental, so I can't tackle a cause. I'm actually very laid back generally!

So how do I change my subconscious habit? Has anyone managed to relax any muscles that were held tense without thinking? How do I create new habits?

Nobody else? Was hoping someone somewhere had managed to change a lifelong habit! Even if it's not pelvic floor but different muscles. It's about remembering to relax and getting into better habits 🙂

I find the happy baby yoga pose really helps me relax my pelvic floor (I'm also very prone to it testing up)

Thank you! I already do happy baby as part of my daily stretching routine and it is great! I could possibly do it more than once a day, but I'm not sure if it would help.
What I really need is to know how to relax whilst sitting/standing/chatting/driving etc, without thinking about it. At the moment as soon as I stop thinking about it the muscles tense up immediately 😒

Has anyone got rid of this? I have been to a pfpt and got exercises but wondered if anyone had a few specific things that helped them?
