An unusual vaccination question

I didn't get DS2 vaccinated because his brother developed severe excema shortly after his baby vaccines (he didn't have boosters or MMR) and a homeopath suggested the vaccines were responsible.

DS2 has been very healthy and has had nothing worse than chicken pox. He is nearly 8. I am now becoming more 'mainstream' in my views on health and education. I took both DS1 (aged 11) and DS2 for the MMR last week. No ill effects and huge relief for me that I won't (hopefully) have to deal with measles, given that I also have a DD (aged 3) who has cystic fibrosis (she is adopted and is fully vaccinated).

My question is this: I would now like DS2 (aged nearly 8) to have the other vaccines that children normally have as babies. Can someone tell me what the schedule is these days? I've heard something about a 5 in 1. How long should I wait now that he's just had the MMR?

I also want his brother (aged 11) to have the booster he never had for the baby vaccines. Again, how long should I wait, given that he has also just hah the MMR ?.

Any advice welcome, particularly from those who have experience of getting older children vaccinated.

I'm not sure, i don't think the 5 in 1 been given the go ahead yet. I think the main 1 you have already done but you will probably need to speak to your gp or local nurse to find out what to do next. They will need menigitus , tetunus, polio and whooping cough, can't remember much else. I think they give about 3 mths between vaccines??

Hello I'm a practice nurse (moonlighting on a night shift) they can be vaccinated but will be due teenage boosters soon anyway so its up to your individual practice who will decide on the routine but yes they will need diptheria, tetanus, polio, hib and men c. They don't do BCG anymore. Hope that helps.
Also think your def doing the right thing as measles and mumps are coming back with a vengence.
