Since covid have people noticed more & more people have started menopausal symptoms much earlier than one would expect?

I have myself been diagnosed with POI/POF recently. My sister who's only a few years older has recently been diagnosed with peri menopause.
My bosses periods came to a halt early 2020 out of nowhere; she hadn't had any previous symptoms or irregular/erratic periods.

I know there's been previous threads of people periods going wonky for a while after either having covid or the vaccine but has anyone else's periods completely ceased since having covid in early 2020? Mine ceased in May 2020 my bosses in April 2020 before the vaccines so can only be down to covid and now I'm wondering if Covid 19 like mumps and other viruses can cause infertility.
Do you think this is something the medical field should be looking into?

I think I had Covid in Feb 2020 and my usually regular periods are now irregular starting after that. It could now be every 2-3 months. They never went back to normal. I am 32 now.

@Isittimef0rbedyet have you been for any blood tests or spoke with a gp?

It doesn't seem to get much notice except about wonky periods after the vaccine.
Mine stopped for 4 months after having covid than came back on & off 2 monthly until January this year when they stopped again and now I'm on HRT because the symptoms were unbearable; hot flushes, night sweats/chills, migraines, hair loss, hair growth on my face 😭 low moods and anxiety to the point of not wanting to leave the house.

Have you had any symptoms and so sorry to hear you're going through this at only 32.

I havent heard of anyone being diagnosed with POI or earlier than usual peri menopause after Covid but do know some that had irregular or missing periods for a couple of months. How old are you/your boss/your sister? Its definitely something that needs to be monitored by researchers but Om not clear why you think 'it can only be Covid'?

And I should of said my periods before May 2020 were perfect 28 day cycles of 4-5 day bleeds. I could have set my watch by them. Once they stopped the symptoms came fast & more frequently they're bloody awful.

@MILLYmo0se in May 2020 when this started I was 36. My sister was 39 and my boss 38 so I would definitely say it's not your average for peri or menopause.

In the UK the average age of menopause is 51 with onset peri at 44/45

I was diagnosed with POF at 35 ish (the timeline of the actual diagnosis is muddled in my head now a decade later, stupid menopausal brain fog) with my last period at 37 so I get that those are earlier than the norm now that you have given the ages. As I said its definitely something to be monitored, i think there is a LOT we dont know about the long term implications of Covid yet.
