Anyone else get this? It's basically a lot first thing then nothing for rest of the day. Apparently no blood in my stool. It's been going on for about two months. Why does this keep happening??

Sorry you're having a flare up @blankee 🙁

Ok I'll try to stick with it.

TMI but I had a normal motion last thing at night before bed, didn't eat anything else. Stuck to diet perfectly all day. Then in the morning first thing before eating or drinking anything we're back to the urgent, loose ones. I just don't get it.

It took a good two weeks before I felt better when I eliminated FODMAPs the first time. But as PP have said, there are other possibilities that might be causing your diarrhoea so it is definitely worth talking to a GP. Best of luck x

Sorry for bringing yo again but did you get to the bottom of this op? I have the same problem for the last three weeks

abadgutfeeling · 15/12/2022 06:32

It did eventually stop but I'm not sure what stopped it. I did the FODMAP for a couple of months to a greater or lesser degree. I also got an iron infusion which helped me feel loads better. Doctor thought I had SIBO because other tests rules out cancers etc. I'm mostly back to normal now sorry if that's not helpful, and that you're not well. Make sure you get tested for stuff

I had this for years and I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease 5 years ago.

@daphne890 I'm not sure if this is helpful but I had the same. I read some advice about taking probiotics and it stopped a day after I started taking them in tablet form. I was really surprised

Thank you - I’ve started bio kult this week and seeing a gastroenterologist next week to get some checks done. I am wondering if it stress to be honest though.
