Frozen shoulder

Has anyone had this? Did it go away on its own or did you need surgery/injection?

I have it now in both shoulders. Limited movement & painful. I don't sleep well because the pain wakes me up.

There's a long waiting list for injection here and I've heard it doesn't work for everyone.

Any advice?

I developed a frozen shoulder at the end of 2020. It took the 12-18 months to go. It's so painful and inconvenient at the time but it will go.

I’ve just taken the Naproxen, how long does it take to work and are the side effects rough ?
I have co-codamol for bedtime, is that ok ?
I hardly ever take drugs so I am anxious but I am in so much pain that it is unbearable

Did you ever get a fix to this @MrJi? I think mine is in a similar position and getting steadily worse

I have suffered several times over the last 20 years, I always go to the chiropractor 2-4 sessions usually sorts it out and they can generally get you in at short notice.

This isn't frozen shoulder. It is a long-term chronic condition and cannot be fixed in a few sessions by a chiropractor.

Newtry I am sorry to hear that you are also suffering. I saw a physio privately and also in the local hospital, I had exercises to gently increase movement again, while keeping pain relief topped up to calm everything down, and advice on how to sleep comfortably. It did just gradually resolve, although my range of movement still needs work, I haven’t been keeping the stretching going, I need to start again. It has been pain free for months now though.
It was incredibly painful at the peak, and I had limited movement and a sharp pain on reaching too far for a while.

It's absolutley horrifically painful. You have me sympathies. Mine froze and I saw a, consultant who specialises only in shoulders. He said hydrodidilation is really the best method these days to treat a frozen shoulder. It won't cure it but will speed up the process of the "thawing".
I actually had i think 4 sessions in the end and it did eventually help, it took away the excruciating agony I felt with every breath or step and allowed me to stay to retain some movement. The shoulder isn't properly mobile still but I've since told friends to go for the dilation as soon as they get the first symptom as the earlier you have it the better it seems to work and multiple sessions aren't so often needed.
No idea how much it costs but if it's an option, and it's a "true" frozen shoulder, (apparently other things are called out but aren't the true version where the capsule sound the joint thickens), then get it done privately if you can. Make sure it's hydrodilation and not just a steroid injection and it's done by someone who does lots do you have a greater chance of it working well.
I hope is better soon it's absolute misery.
