Trying to get it all down in one thread. I have been unwell since May 2020. Things have slowly been building up, where I now am under a number of consultants with no real answers.
I'm under Gastro for BAM, a fatty liver, calcifications on my pancreas and swollen nodes in my bowel (all discovered in a scan in Oct 2020) but yet to see anyone face to face or start any treatments.
An endocrinologist for ongoing thirst and the feeling of a lump in my throat.
A cardiologist for problems with heart rate being too high, inverted T waves and sudden drops in heart rates. Had a 7 day trace but again not seen anyone and still awaiting results or follow up.
Under Neurologist for a known brain cyst and nerve ending issues in feet and hands. He atleast has done his job.
Have also developed allergies with has resulted in the need for an epi pen due to anaphylactic reaction to a scan dye that previously has been ok.
Now the last 7 weeks I have developed a nasty cough, one that sounds like I smoke 40 a day and it makes me physically sick. My O2 levels are at 95 most days and I'm struggling to physically do as I have done before.
My GP has been good, done an X-ray which is clear but blood work shows a problem with my kidney function.
Im tried, everything hurts and im generally just fed up.
Of course trying not to Google but no one seems to be doing very much and joined up working isn't happening.
I have been doing some reading and think something "might" fit.
Would you mention this to the GP or am I better to just leave it and not put an idea in their head? I have a review with them on Wednesday.
I also have an echo with cardio next week and a camera for my bowels soon.

If you got this far, thank you.
Thoughts?

I would ask about it, yes. It will play on your mind if not. They may agree it's worth investigation, or they may explain why they think it doesn't apply to your case. Either of those would be a positive step, surely?

Yes I would mention it. I've done so before when I've had symptoms and suspected what it could be, and the GP's response was "oh yeah that's definitely worth considering, we'll do some tests to rule it out" so it proved to be a good thing to do. In my case I didn't have the thing I suspected, but it was good to rule it out.

Yes, as long as I'd done my research.

I've self diagnosed pretty much every time I've had something from a broken 3rd metatarsal to ADHD and am rarely incorrect.
