Dentist advice

My DS had a number of fillings done privately earlier this year( no nhs dentist available) Today one of these fillings has fallen out. DS has called the practice, they have told him the dentist that did the treatment has now left, no notes that the treatment was carried out and he will have to pay again!
This does not sound right to me, he has evidence of the payments he made, so the practice must have records of this and what the payments were for?
DS is autistic so may have been crossed wires but he won’t let me speak to them.
Can anyone advise? Thanks

Contact the practice manager. On his account will be a list of the treatments he has paid for.

If not the practice manager should have invoices they sorted out for dentist pay and every single treatment is listed on there.

And bank statements. If he paid in cash and they can't see any record I'd be questioning them tbh.

@PinkButtercups Thanks for your quick response. He did pay by card so he can provide that evidence. Do you know if he will have to pay again? (Treatment wasn’t cheap!)

Depends. I know in our some fillings have a warranty if you like. If it's a simple case of just having to place the filling back in we wouldn't charge, no.

But then most practices also have a private price list where it should cover a lost filling.

If they expect him to pay again then phone 111 or go to your nearest nhs dental walk in centre. It will be band 2 so £66 i believe.

But in the meantime be sure to keep the area nice and clean and gargle water/salt water after eating just to keep it clean.

Thanks so much for your help- now just need to make sure his records are correct!
