Blemish on breast

I’ve had a tiny red blemish just below the nipple for a few months now. It’s not particularly itchy or sore, just occasionally irritated, I blamed my tight lacy bras, so changed them to plain cotton ones, and put nipple cream on it, but the blemish is still there. I went to the doctor and was referred to the breast clinic which obviously freaked me out. Anybody had similar?

Anyone? Just hoping for good outcomes.

Haven't had similar but wanted to post. My sister had breast cancer that started as a red rash but her symptoms developed very quickly. I am sure if it hasn't changed much in a few months, it is likely nothing too scary. It's really hard waiting for an appointment (and scary to be referred) but you've done the right thing and I expect it will all be reassuring. Just good to have a thorough doctor who won't take any risks. Thinking of you.

@tummytrauma Thank you! I also suffer with health anxiety so you can imagine. Had mammogram done now waiting to see consultant, unfortunately the clinic wasn’t a one stop shop. Sorry to hear about your sister x

How did your mammogram go? Did you get the results? I know how gruelling it is and (as a fellow health anxiety sufferer) can imagine how worrying… hope you’ve had reassurance of some kind. (Thank you re sister! She’s very much well now x)

@tummytrauma Still waiting for results/appointment with consultant. Thanks for asking, once I know I’ll update. In the meantime anybody female OR male, if you notice anything unusual in the breast area, and not just lumps, please don’t leave it too long to see your GP. Good to hear about your sister! x
