Do you ever get used to it? I know that might sound silly but I've had diarrhoea every 2-4 weeks for years now, suspect it's IBS but also nurse suspects gallstones and I'm waiting for a scan. Every time I get diarrhoea I worry it's the start of a tummy bug. I have severe emetophobia (fear of vomiting) so every time it sets my anxiety off. I worry obsessively about passing it on to my daughter. Usually it's not a tummy bug but that doesn't help my anxiety. Any advice or experiences?

Yes, had IBS (although no flare up for years) and also have PCOS.

Thankyou for replying, can I ask if you had problem with weight gain? I will recommend my daughter the peppermint tea and see how she gets on, Ive just tried her on some kombucha but I think it made it worse.

Hi @stairgates no I was stick thin for years (it made getting PCOS diagnosis a lot harder) with a BMI below 20. I think that was more to do with anxiety though. I gained some weight once I was more settled and happy, so early to mid-30s and got up to about 23 on BMI?
It's now hovering around the 25 mark since having DD! But I am early 40s now so presumably my metabolism is slowing down.
