Okay, so I finally braved the Mooncup - it's only been sat in it's box since I was pg with dd, who is now 3

I inserted it fairly easily, third attempt, and managed to remove it...ouch! I didn't read the leaflet properly and didn't break the seal enough - thought my fanjo was going to invert!

Anyway, I cut the stem in half as it was too long, but I can still feel it rubbing - should I cut it off completely? If I do will I have the cup stuck up my fanjo for all eternity?

HELP!!!

Thank you. Will I get sore from removing and re-inserting a few more times?

Am thinking about leaving 3mm of stem and threading a ribbon through it like a tampon so I can reach it to pull it out

Okay, so on second day but still finding getting it our a bit of a prob. I can get it down by squeezing then break the seal, but it still hurts when the thick rim at the top comes out, even when I squish it so it's folded in a bit.

HELP!

I tried mine for the first time yesterday. I went into complete panic when trying to get it out - I couldn't seem to break the seal and then couldn't get any purchase on the stem to pull it out. Took me about ten minutes of frenzied rooting around, but I did it in the end. Have now reverted to a Lil-let and will try again tonight.

Thought I would have to get DP involved at some point, which really doesn't bear thinking about

I found the most useful tip when removing the little blighters was to bear down - we all remember that! - which helps push it out. Grab it, squeeze and twist while pulling. Good luck!

Will give it a go. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it in the end!
