Why is my finger bent? *pic included*

4 months ago I had a pretty horrific fall from height which resulted in me breaking my wrist badly. They told me the night it happened I may have some bad nerve damage which I do, but with electrotherapy it's getting better.
I've managed to get the grip back in my hand over the last month but over the weekend my index and middle fingers have been incredibly sore and stiff and today the pains are shooting up from my fingers into my elbow. I've noticed my middle finger is now starting to bend and the joint seems to be sticking out.
What's happening?!
Not due to see my consultant till Aug and my physio till a week Fri. Can't get in at gp till the end of this week unless I deem it as urgent. Is it?
I'm 34 and feeling really sad about it all, like my recovery is just never going to end

I think you should go to a walk-in clinic today

My finger is bent because I had a tendon avulsion fracture, but that appeared pretty soon after my fall, for it to come on months after your injury would seem odd.

Agreeing that you need to have it looked at.

I think you should flag this as urgent.

Dupuytrens contracture? Speak to the physio when you see them

Dressme2023 · 27/06/2022 21:28

Bumping as I went to see my gplate afternoon who was totally useless and said he doesn't know why my finger is bending and just prescribed stronger painkillers. I'm stressing.
Does anyone have any idea what it could be :(

@Anunusualfamily I've googled that but doesn't seem to be reflective of my symtoms. Thank you though

I would ring the physio department in the morning and explain what has happened. They will be the best people to speak to about this.
