Eflornithine. Anyone used this cream, is it any good to stop the facial hair?

GP prescribed this for me, I had laser treatment, but it wasn't effective for the ones under the chin, actually I think it probably made it worse.
The GP said to me to use this, I haven't got round to appyling it yet, as the hair was really long and removed it today with a wax/glue that I do monthly.
Has anyone tried this cream, is there any point using it, I read on the packet that once you stop using it the hair will come back,
should I not bother with this?
the pulling the hair from the roots is working for me, it's reducing the hair coming back and less hair are coming back .
I only started the hair pulling recently, before I was shaving and got fed up.
Any thoughts on the cream thanks

Is this vaniqa? I was prescribed it years ago and although it made the hair much thinner, it didn't stop hair growth altogether. One of the side effects was acne though and that was a bigger concern to me than excess hair growth so after the first tube finished, I didn't accept a repeat prescription. Also, the consistency of vaniqa is quite PVC-glue-like and it pilled as I applied moisturiser on top. Overall, I wasn't a fan of it.

I was given vaniqua many years ago, not sure of the spelling. It made my skin bleed, had to stop so no idea if it ever worked.

Ps. Laser hair removal worked for me but I had the YAG laser and not IPL- which is apparently counter productive for some. Electrolysis is the only hair removal method that will result in permanent hair removal. Also, do you have PCOs? Other medical conditions that cause hirsutism? Do you have children? Planning to get pregnant? I ask because I had laser hair removal but once I had my DC, the excess hair came back in full force so tread carefully.

yes I may have PCOS, although periods are regular. but doctor saw cysts on ovaries years ago. I have kids, so that's not an issue. not going back to laser anymore, laser resulted in a side effect which increased hair, like they are now thicker and so close together., they weren't like that before the laser.

This cream is not vaniqa, this is a different one. GP was really encouraging me to use it. but just wanted to find someone who has used it before I start using it.

Works for me. Been using it for over a decade. I have to buy it privately now though as my CCG won’t pay for it anymore.

Sorry for late response OP. Yes you have to keep using it. No side effects except a little bit of acne when first using it but that soon cleared up.

I have been using Vaniqa now for 6 weeks. The reduction in facial hair being problematic has been remarkable! I find myself hardly having to pluck hairs anymore, which has dramatically improved the quality of my life - healthexpress.co.uk/vaniqa

Generally, I use Eflora that I order from OnlineGenericMedicine. And It's cheaper.
