Since October last year I’ve been experiencing the following in this exact order:
Rush of blood / shiver through lower back and front.
Uneasy feeling like something is not right in body.
Urge to open bowels / use toilet.
Heart rate increase from regular 80/85 bpm to 110 bpm.
Palpitations being felt.
Sometimes sweat palms and shivers / shakes.
This then goes away either by opening a window or going into the bathroom. Or laying down and breathing slowly in and out. Sometimes having milk or cold water also helps.
it happened a good few times in October and I went to see the GP who did blood tests and said my cholesterol was high for which they put me on some medication.
It has been happening on and off since then. Sometimes nothing for two or three weeks and then sometimes consistently few times a day for a week or ten days.
Saw GP again and was referred to the heart clinic at the hospital. In the initial appointment there was nothing to be concerned about however I am still on the waiting list for a heart stress test.
I have found that it increases when I am not well with some other illness, such as a couple of weeks ago I had diarrhoea and I was getting this heart problem consistently around then. I used to wake up needing the toilet and had heart rate increased with sweaty palms. However when the diarrhoea settled so did this problem.
I’m thinking it’s probably nothing serious as nothing is coming up in bloods and I’m generally well. Eating and drinking good also. Plus it’s been 8 months and if it was anything serious then something would have happened by now.
I’m a single male parent to a young teenage girl and worry that if something happens to me then she will have to go into care as age has no one else.
Asking on here to see if anyone else has had something like this and what they did to diagnose it and treat it.
