MILD Sleep Apnea

Hi I have so many conditions abs I've just found out I have mild sleep apnea. I cannot sleep in my own bed because of my snoring.

Has anyone had a mouth guard fitted? The hospital advised a Mandibular Advancement Device? Does this also help with the snoring? That's my main issue.

I'm on the lowest pip and don't work.
£300 is a lot of it doesn't work.

Thank you.

I have tried everything going.

Nasal strips / Spray
Two mouth guards
Pillows
Nose clips

Has anyone tried either of the two pictured?

Who diagnosed you with OSA? When my dh was diagnosed by the sleep clinic they said that mandibular advancement devices only worked for a very few people and they didn't recommend them (and if they did, they were prescribed). If you have OSA you need a CPAP device which is provided free on the NHS, and it will absolutely stop the snoring. If you have other health problems there is a huge amount of evidence that treating OSA is positive for many other things as well

Hi. Thank you for your reply. The hospital said as it's mild and under their threshold they will not supply one and advised me to speak with my dentist?

Hi all. I could cry. The mouth guard isn't working. It hurts my teeth.

My bottom two front teeth have gone wonky and I now have a gap between my two top front teeth.

The dentist said it can't be the device as there is no restriction. I was hoping he would say it was the MD and give me a brace to correct it.

My teeth were fine before.

I'm so tired x
