What helped your eczema?

I've had eczema for years and it has gotten considerably worse since the birth of my daughter. I've used steroids in the past but prefer not to, because of the side effects. What helped you with your eczema? I've tried all the creams and currently don't eat dairy or meat.

Bath water run through an old sock containing oats (I know sounds weird but stopped my son scratching his legs in his sleep til they bled). I have it mildly (worse since I had covid and did need to resort to steroid cream) but usually an organic cream by lavera keeps mine under control. Sorry can't do links but it's called All in on cream, is in a round tin, contains organic shea butter and almond oil and costs about £8.

Ime what works is (frustratingly) incredibly personal. Dh has eczema, and two of our kids. Child’s farm moisturiser applied daily helps, but the main thing is sunshine - it improves immediately with exposure to sun. Ideal in England, I know.

Both my kids completely cleared their skin when we moved to a country with mid winter reached 25C by lunchtime. They also swam most days.

4 years out there, and 4 years back in Englamd, and it has only come back in small patches. Of course they may have grown out of it by now anyway, but it's incredible to see.

The changes our bodies go through with pregnancy are crazy aren’t they! We like the bar soap and laundry powder from skinsalve.co.uk
