How strange, I have just noticed that...

I have one hip much larger and higher than the other. They look really different and my waist is higher on one side. In fact the shape of my body is completely different on each side.

I gave birth 6 months ago. Has anyone else had this? I'm a bit worried now

Recently I have been suffering from really bad back pains too.

mine did that after baby no5.......altho I had had SPD with each of babys no 3/4/5.

went to a chiropractor and she fixed me in two sessions....tis ok.....you just sound like you twisted or put your pelvis out giving birth....that is also why you back has been hurting, alth you may also get legs pains too if you leave it.

good luck, and don't panic

VanillaPumpkin · 12/01/2008 16:47

Aw. Don't panic. I had to have physio on my back when dd1 was a baby. Your bad back will probably be caused by all that lifting and bending changing nappies etc. My whole body is a bit lopsided if I look at it (one boob is def bigger than the other )
Do you think one leg is longer than the other then?
Speak to your Doc but I am sure you are fine, but need to do some exercises to strengthen your back.

WeirdHips · 12/01/2008 16:49

Yeah about a month ago i was getting cramps in my legs and bum (cheek not hole!).

Should I see the doc?

you could, but personally he will probably advise physio and you will then have the waiting game of it on the NHS.....and then (for me) they did nothing to help!

chiropractor would be my choice......pricy but soooooooooooooooooo worth it!

WeirdHips · 12/01/2008 16:59

OK thanks. Damn, I guess I'll have wonky hips for a while then!

don't let price put you off please........will be harder to fix and you will have wear n tear etc.

if you really can;t afford it, then by all means go to the docs....he will then be able to refer you and you may be luckier than me and get a decent physio....i may have been unlucky (or maybe my body is weirder, or even, as is more likely, I left it too late to fix easy as I had had two babies from when my hips went the first time IYGWIM).

please don;t leave it tho....the pain will only get worse and will also 'refer' to other places (ie - back/legs/ribs etc)

VanillaPumpkin · 12/01/2008 17:09

I was getting shooting pains down my leg too, and numbness... Get to your docs as Phychomum said and get on the list. I had a flattened spine which was obvious when I looked sideways in the mirror ie no curve in my spine. I still get twinges now and best exercise for me is to lie on floor and do a push up with my hips still on floor iyswim. Anyway def see a specialist. You don't want to mess with backs etc. Good Luck. Worth the money if you are in pain...

WeirdHips · 13/01/2008 11:17

yeah i will have to go nhs as we are so skint. hopefully the waiting list won't be too long.

oooh I was going to post about this as well as noticed the other day that mine is like that. I think mine is related to my sacroilitis. I'm being referred for physio as have been in pain for months with this flare.
