Chronic leg pain really getting me down

I have a long standing (like, from childhood) issue with my legs. I used to get terrible growing pains and then they just continued throughout my teens and I would get bad pain in my left knee.

I had an X ray a few years ago on my knees and it showed nothing. I would say now that the biggest issue is my hips. I get regular deep aches in my hips that can extend down to my knees and ankles, mostly on the left side but not always. I also think I have something weird with my left hip because I can kind of pop or snap it into a weird position by putting weight on it in a particular way.

When I stand up or have my legs bent for too long and then straighten them I get a sharp stabbing pain in my right hand groin crease and my leg often buckles.

Last year I was diagnosed with coeliac disease and I thought this would go away but it hasn’t. I’m only 28 and have been fobbed off by doctors for years who just say “it’s muscle pain”. I had some physio and the woman said she thought it would be bursitis, but the exercises didn’t do anything.

does anyone have any ideas or similar experiences?

I too always suffered with aching legs which as a child was put down to growing pains but carried on. I then suffered with pain in my hip, it would often lock, pain would shoot down my leg. My knees would ache. Sometimes like you standing up would cause a sharp stabbing pain in the groin. Then I suffered a herniated disc. It seems all of my pain was referred pain. I never had any pain in my back ever. I now have various exercises to strengthen my core which is helping.
