Can your DNA repair after one minor sunburn

DS had a very minor sunburn on arms last year which I have been mulling over the last few months (which I know is not healthy and that’s a separate conversation). He was not in my care at the time but was returned with pink arms pink which around 3 days. No pink anywhere else. Weirdly it didn’t peel (which I am
not sure is good or bad). I am fully aware of the effects on sun exposure and how children should be protected however, I been reading on what affect it has on DNA which is pretty. Would DNA be able to recover / repair from one minor sunburn in childhood? All info talks about severe / blistering sunburns.

Thanks all for the responses. I know I’m worrying over something so petty but once I get something in my head I’m automatically go to worst case scenario. I have some so much reading this on sun burns and how it affects DNA which obviously I know doesn’t help. In these scenarios I just feel like I am the only one it’s happened to and I feel really guilty even know I wasn’t directly supervising him.

I hope you are getting some support for your anxiety, it’s important that you do, not just for your sake but for your child ❤️

Do you give your child a vitamin d supplement? A little bit of sun exposure is good for them and for the body to make vitamin d. Low vitamin d can cause a lot of issues that I personally would be more worried about than a little pinkness.
