I had a nasty wrist fracture 9 weeks ago and had surgery and K Wires.
The wires and cast were removed 10 days ago and my wounds all look fine. I have a splint to wear till I'm back at hospital on Tues for xrays and check up with consultant. I have various other issues as well including an inability to move my hand or fingers as they said I have extensive nerve damage.

However the past 24hrs my arm has been aching really badly, all the way up to my elbow. It's not something I've experienced since the pins came Out. We've just noticed the colour of my hand, the skin is very mottled and I've not had this before either.

Just checking that this is a normal part of recovery and doesnt warrant being seen before Tuesday?
Thanks

@2pointfourmonkeys my dd has had CRPS for over 10 years now and the worst element has always been the pain and the hypersensitivity. As far as I know for all my research, pain is the one constant. For some people it can go completely and for some it can then come back. For my dd it's been constant. I do wonder if the pain isn't the worst aspect for your friend that she might have chronic pain instead of CRPS? Either way, any pain is awful Flowers
