Thrush before every period

Has anyone experienced thrush before every period. I have been getting thrush for a number of years so I came off the combined pill, this hasn't stopped the thrush but I know get it routinely the week before my period - has anyone fixed this? I have tried probiotics, tested for diabetes, don't use any scented products and it is 100% thrush as it has been confirmed many times at the GP and sexual health clinic. Thanks!

@kittykat818 Yes I've tried pro biotics and I think they have helped a bit too, but I never quite seem able to fully get rid.
Agree with other posters that eating badly really doesn't help. I ate really well last year (no refined sugar at all) and I didn't realise how much I'd reduced the thrush symptoms until a few months of going back to my old ways and it really flaring up again 😣
I need to get back to the healthy eating.

I buy fluconazole from Chemist 4 U - £3.99 for 3 x 150mg capsules.

They also do a generic clotrimazole cream for £1.99 -

I keep a stash at home for when needed, much cheaper than buying in store.

@Shudacudawuda Wow no sugar for a year! Well done to you I don't think I could do that!

Sorry this is an old post. Did you get to the bottom of this OP? I’m in the same boat and desperate!
