Referred for suspected breast cancer - terrified

My GP suspects I might have inflammatory breast cancer (this type has a poor prognosis) and has referred me on the two week wait pathway. I’m terrified and trying to keep it all together. AIBU to expect my partner of 6 months to support me? It’s not that long but he’s very committed and I know he loves me. I could really do with him being there for me through this but wonder if it’s too much....

How has your bloke been?

I was in my forties before I really understood 'how I work'. I am far better when 'things' have actually happened, I am FAR FAR worse in the period before. So to a large extent I'm much better at calming my worries.

I'm not at all a 'gamer' but I've found a couple if games on my phone that are very absorbing and time passes very quickly when I'm playing... if only I found housework or cooking as absorbing 😬I hope you have someone IRL to support you.(hopefully as well as your partner) xx
