My 2y charge has toes on both feet that cross over another toe. is the 2nd over the third (pretty sure, cant double check he's asleep) as its both feet Im thinking its due to small shoes or wellies, he has 3y brother so gets a lot of handmedown shoes.

Is this something I should get help over? will it affest him in later life? any advice graetfully recieved!

Not sure, I have been with his mum to Clarks to have 3y old feet done and shoes bought for school. I do know the shoes he wears are diffferent sizes in each pair, I have brought it up with bossmum but she said oh dear... and when I got back from christmas found charge in the wellies I had thought caused the prob! they are too small- think Im the only one worried!

Was your ds born with it ? My dad had this and called it Hammer toes. In the 1920's as a small child he had all his toes broken and reset, as was the fashion.
My brother also has it, so it may be genetic, Medical opinion in his day believed as it wasnt a problem to his walking, to leave it alone, and he has the same shape toes he was born with.
If you are worried I would see the HV. good luck

MightyMoosh i take it he is a little boy you look after. Are asking if we think he isn't having his feet looked after by his mum?
I think you may be right if he is having handmedowns and they don't fit.I would say something to his mum, that you are worried. After all you are paid to look after him and care for him.She may be to busy with work ect to have realised.

Sasquatch, dont think he was born with it as the mum didnt seem to know when I mentioned it (I'm his nanny)

Madmommy- No, not really thinking too bad of his mum, just doesnt seem to be taken seriously and wondered if needed to pust it. Shared care so I cant really take him GP's and say I was concerned, you were at work as mum doesnt work. I think I will need to bring this up again, he has blisters sometimes which I do bring up with mum.
