I would try something from a health shop - I know it sounds all dungarees and leather sandals but, the stuff you have used is really harsh and could be irritating your skin more. Even Simple has harsh things in.

I would try natural no addded crap stuff just in case you are senstive to the harsh stuff, it will not dry your skin forcing it to make more oils and hopefully calm it all down

Do boots etc do 'natural' do you know? I tried their witch hazel which supposed to be gentle...

I was going to suggest Avene... people swear on dr hautschka (sp?) for very sensitive skin

mad4mybaby · 11/01/2008 21:48

never heard of that one. Any idea where to get it?

I have suffered with problem skin for a long while. I use Forever Living products - Aloe Vera based - and they seem to be really good. You need to find a local 'agent' that distributes it. It is quite expensive and I did go through a worse before better stage, that I was warned about, but it was worth persevering.
I would also recommend reflexology - very good for resolving cause from within and for me stopped the flare-ups of big very red, very painful hormonal spots happening.

be careful, thing bought in boots that say 'natural' normally aren't.

mad4mybaby · 11/01/2008 21:56

thank you all for replying!! May well try reflex but v expensive!

what about online?

I have bought from here but not this particular product, but it seems a resonable price

3 in 1 cleansing milk

moisturiser

www.drhauschka.com/ it's is rather expensive though

Reflexology is expensive but I feel worth it - very powerful treatment!
My experience has been about 6 treatments initially - gradually increasing time between sessions and then monthly 'maintainence'.
