Joint pain supplements?

I have a lot of joint pain and I tried rose hip which worked quite well

I've been told about glucosamine and turmeric as well

Is there something I can take with everything In or do I need to buy multiple tablets?

There is no magic fix supplement. I take turmeric and omega 3, as well as vit D all the time (there is some evidence they help). At the moment I am in quite a lot more pain than usual so supplementing w vit C (some evidence), and throwing in glucosamine as well (less / no evidence) because I’m prepared to give it a go for a short while.

Do you know what is causing the joint pain? Physio/ medical help also advised! I am using a tens machine at the mo which is really helping with pain control.

The official line is fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue (diagnosed in 1996)

Plus I had bilateral hip dysplasia as a baby so I walk slightly sque wiff which puts the wrong pressure on my hips back and knees

But ir all got worse with menopause and again after covid

I take regular vit d. Magnesium, zinc, iron, methyl folate, uniquinol, b12, potassium and vit k so it has to be realistic if I'm going to add it - several of those are companion supplements and I have diagnosed low levels of b12, d, zinc & folate

I take the standard Seven Seas jointcare supplex & turmeric. It's got glucosamine, omega-3 and turmeric. I don't have any specific condition, just age related aches and pains and it's definitely improved these.

That's good to know, thanks

I have RA and was told by my rheumatologist not to take fish oil as they can raise cholesterol.

Joint pain can be a real bother, but it's fantastic that rose hip has been working well for you! As for combining supplements, you might want to check out a joint supplement with turmeric. It often comes with other goodies like glucosamine.

Some folks find it super convenient to have everything bundled up in one tablet. It could be worth a shot! Of course, you can also experiment with individual supplements to tailor your approach.
