CAN YOU HAVE ORAL THRUSH WITH NO SYMPTOMS, *OR* CAN YOU BE ALLERGIC TO SALIVA? ?TMI

Quite possibly TMI here, but:

I gave birth about 5 months ago. Sex has been limited to say the least.

About 6 weeks ago, we had sex, and my husband sucked my nipples. A few days later, I developed thrush on my nipples, which has been hard to shift, and resulted in an additional infection. Antibiotics followed by a 3 week course of Fluconazole finally got rid.

Yesterday, I was brave enough to do the deed again, and again, my husband sucked my nipples.

I am now a little sore again, and my breast is itchy, with a small rash in the same place as before.

Could it be that he has thrush, although he has no signs or symptoms, or could I be suddenly bizarrely allergic to his saliva or something?

I really don't want a repeat of the last 6 weeks!

I have never had thrush there but simular symptoms to you on the itching after such acts! I think its the saliva, in other words lol. I have suffered eczema there once in the past and so always thought it must slightly bring on the eczema?

Oh thanks - perhaps it is just my boob objecting to being sucked at all hours!

Very unlikely that he has thrush, see it all the time in my patients, looks like a white cottage cheesey coating on the tongue and throat, breath stinks, mouth very sore...but on the other hand, bruised damaged tissues are very prone to contracting thrush (the spores live all over your body) so you don't always have to 'catch' it.
