Grouchy, grotty and spotty - anything to worry about?

My Dd (8 months) is having one of those weeks.

Snotty since Monday,
gagging for no reason since Tuesday,
rash on Wednesday,
low fever on Friday night,
fussy eating since Saturday,
bad conjunctivitis today...

sporadic grumps all week, though not all the time.

Doc saw her on Thursday, checked her over and said she was fine. Another doc checked her eye this morning and gave us ointment...

So do I just roll with it now? Is it teeth? Mild unspecific virus? Should I be wrapping her in cotton wool or heading off to bug the doctor again?

She doesn't seem ill-ill, IYSWIM, but MIL will have her for a couple of nights from Tue. Was really hoping to send her off 100% - though MIL reckons babies always have something wrong with them, so we shouldn;t worry.

Spot the first time mum!

What about Hand, Foot and Mouth? DD has just got over it. She went off her food, was really grumpy, dribbling loads and clearly in pain in her mouth, and wasn't sleeping. She also had a rash on her leg and in her nappy (red spotty rash, not like her normal nappy rash. We thought it was teething, but then I read on mumsnet about Hand, Foot and Mouth (which I had never heard of) and when I checked her mouth the next morning, ulcers had appeared on her tongue and then later that day blisters on her hands and feet. Its not serious and you just treat with fluids and painkillers, but it is contagious until the blisters crust over.

hi kif

sound like a viral inf. keep an eye on temp and give calpol, in my opinion. dont hesitate to go back to dr if you are worried, and nhs 24 are excellent for any questions, however big or small. plus, as name indicates they are there 24 hrs a day!

could be teeth as well though xxx
