Just finshed her bottle, burst into tears, asked to go to bed and I picked her up and got this morning's breaky, lunch and her night time milk(she didn't eat any dinner) all down me.

We both got in the shower, leaving dh to try and clean up the lounge and she got out and said "I feel better now - I will go to bed".

Really wierd. She's just turned 2 and last week was ill with a fever on Sunday night and I had to keep her at home on Monday/Tuesday.

If she was older and at school,I'd think it was an anti-school trick.

Oh poor dd...there do seem to be some 24 hour lurgies around at present. But being vomited over is one of the memories of parenthood that you could probably do without.

Hope she is better tomorrow.

CountessDracula · 21/11/2004 20:31

Milkyway there is defo something around. I have been very vomitty today and feeling dreadful, I know several people who have had this. Hope she feels better soon.

MilkyWay · 21/11/2004 20:32

She seems fine now and has crashed out in bed within a few minutes. I'm supposed to be driving up to Leeds and overnighting tomorrow with work. dh says he'll take the day off with her if she's poorly tomorrow, but I hate being away when she's ill.

A rather large part Milkyway

This is not uncommon as stated by the other posters. Try and either not give her any of her morning milk or dilute it 1/2 with water. same for her evening milk. I don't know why, but when they are poorly, small children can develop a milk intolerance (only lasts for a couple of days) which makes them throw up.

MilkyWay · 21/11/2004 20:47

That's helpful Branster - she doesn't really need to have her morning milk now - she eats a hearty breakfast so will give that a miss in the morning.
