people should see india as a GOOD example because she does all the stuff she does: her diet must have been hard work and has produced realistic results as well as being a mum and a really successful and good journalist author and comic - and maintaining a sense of humour about life and weight

but I still think she is a bit too podgy

there endeth the supportive message

oh and she has a gorgeous younger bloke

not sure if he is younger but he is gorgeous and scottish

morningpaper · 07/01/2008 12:15

I'm sorry cod I can't hear you up there in your 4x4

moondog · 07/01/2008 12:21

Guffaw at cauliflwower paella.
What the fuck is wrong with women that they have to buy into all this lifestyle product (because after all, there is something to flog here.)

Losing weight and staying slim and healthy is a piece of piss.

1.) Don't buy crap
2.) Do some proper cooking yer dozy cows
3.) Eat a reasonable amount
4.) Lay off the booze
5.) shift yer arse occasionally.

C'est tout.

grated cauliflower

only for those that have a maid to clear up the bits that will hit every square inch of your kitchen and beyond

MerryPIFFLEmas · 07/01/2008 12:41

I have two aesome recipes for home made chapatis and fat free lentil curry
and toasted chickpeas.
piss easy takes minutes

half a stone in 2 weeks
and I'm not even overweight
and I've never eaten so much and enjoyed it so much
And I was not even trying
and I drunk lots of wine and ate lots of chocs and the only exerciuse I did was the washing, which admittedly in our house is pretty hefty work....

Vacua · 07/01/2008 12:43

I've read the book and its actually good.
And they do a gradual introduction to excercise. The carbs are cut out for a couple of weeks and then you start adding in good carbs - and alcohol , which I think actually is a good carb.
Cutting out white processed shit and sugar isn't bad for you and the book is logical and focusses heavily on healthy eating.
I lost a stone that ihaven't been able to shift since DD was born. And i have lost all the cellulite that has been a freakin pain since I was 16.
I am now under 9 stone and fit into size 10 ( except in Marks and Monsson where i am an 8) and I feel flippin fantastic
So nah to the cynics.

( and I know she is annoying but I love what she write about her SN child and she sent me a nice mail about mine. So double nah)
( is that how you spell nah ?)

I hate diets! I don't see the point in low-carb diets either. I agree with moondog, although for me, becoming healthier meant introducing a bit of junk food every now and again. at the norovirus!

MoreSpamThanGlam · 11/03/2008 12:49

Ive strated this and tbh have never eaten so healthily. British meat and fish and local veg (most of the time)

BUT - I cant find the website any more?! What happened to it?

Aitch · 11/03/2008 12:54

i read a bit of it when it came out and it looked v suspect but a friend has been doing it and she is looking thinner and happier. she says she wasn't that fussed for bread anyway... but i like bread. i don't think it's the diet for me.

diswasy?

ArcticRoll · 11/03/2008 14:50

I have never dieted before but tried this back in January and I was very impressed.
The first few days are a bit difficult and had terrible headache on day 5 but after that felt really good and lost a few pounds and trousers were looser.
Doesn't feel like a diet(no calorie counting, butter, cream, proper food) and easy to do when out and about.

MoreSpamThanGlam · 11/03/2008 17:12

I am really surprised at myself - i love crumpets, muffins, choc, biscuits and yet....so far so good.

Am putting this killer headache down to my tonsilitis (see gross!!!! thread).

My scales also ran out of bettery this morning and it needs one of those large watch type batteries, so I cant jump on every 5 minutes.
