Eyelid twitching for weeks

I have had a twitch in my eyelid for about 2-3 weeks and it is driving me round the twist now.
I thought it was caused by tiredness at first but now I'm not so sure and getting a bit paranoid about it.

I have a routine GP appointment next week so I will mention it then, but in the meantime can anyone else tell me if this is normal!

DS gets this and the GP just said tough, or words to that effect. He works at a screen all day and thought it might be that.
I might suggest he tries magnesium. I take magnesium as it's supposed to help with palpitations, do be aware that it can have a laxative effect.

Definitely mention it to the GP. I have been having the same issue for months and it’s actually moved into other muscles as well now. My GP did loads of blood tests which didn’t reveal anything (iron slightly low but magnesium etc normal) so he’s referred me to a neurologist.

I will mention it. It hasn't been as bad today. I don't know if that was down to having a decent nights sleep though? It didn't bother me all day until I got into the car to drive home then it started so I'm wondering if it is my eye straining.

Hello, I have this! Could you let me know what helped? I went to the docs and he said it’s down to stress and it should go off soon but it hasn’t..

I had it first 2 days of covid infection now it comes back whenever I'm under the weather

I had it for several months after Covid..drove me mad. Upped my magnesium dose (it says to take 2 and I take 3..sorted it quickly plus it makes me feel better in general in terms of sleep and digestion)
