Hi

I swear ny Nurofen meltlets which melt in your mouth without water. They do the trick too!

BeeEm · 05/01/2008 19:37

oooh didn't know you could get meltable ones. do you know if you can give them to stroppy children who won't take any other form of medicine andd also what do they taste like please?

pigsinmud · 05/01/2008 20:12

YUK - the nurofen melts almost made me throw up! Disgusting. Dh hated them too. They work alright though.

notalone · 06/01/2008 12:20

Not sure about giving them to kids - think they have to be over 12 first. Perhaps you could try one tablet rather than the usual two.

Or you could dilute soluble tablets in juice and tell them its a fizzy drink

WigWamBam · 06/01/2008 12:26

I don't mind Nurofen meltlets, but dh hates them so much that he'd rather just have the headache.

BeeEm - depends on how old the children are. Calpol do a meltlet in their 6+ range; dd detested it though.

Nymphadora · 06/01/2008 17:59

I use calpol ones for dd2 cos she wont take medicine, she likes them but I don't (her alternative is suppositories so they were her last resort!)

If you balance the tablets on your back teeth they should go down without a fight.

Maidamess · 06/01/2008 18:05

(If its an adult, obviously!)

Nymphadora · 06/01/2008 18:52

Its not the swallowing its the keeping them down. Have been vomiting on and off for 2 months now and don't want to swallow tablets cos they don't get chance to be absorbed.
