Doc thinks I have it and is sending me to the ME clinic in London. Any comments welcomed.

hi tiptop,

yes i get chilly if having a treatment too, especially in winter. your comfort is most important so always make sure you are comfy and relaxed.

as for best time... well, there is nothing wrong with having things to do after a session... often you can feel very energised by a treatment but then still sleep well at bedtime.

just find a time that suits you and sure, if you can allow a bit of extra me time afterwards, all well and good.

it sounds like you are doing well so keep up the good work

Chocol8 - I haven't sent you a CAT yet but will get myself organised and I'll do it soon!

Thanks, KatieMac and sis.

rosies - Thanks for your post. I've now found out what my working hours will be so I'm going to be going early afternoon in future (I will finish work at lunchtime) or else on my one full day off - but I think my reflexologist doesn't work that day of the week, iirc. She has mentioned an evening session, but dh is often late home or away with work, so that's out. I will ask for the blanket next time and I'm sure it'll help me to relax quickly. My circulation is very poor (I have freezing cold hands and feet) and the foot that isn't being worked on gets a bit cold. I think I'd prefer it if I had one foot treated at a time (and the other one kept warm wrapped in the towel) rather than both together, but what are your views on this? Shall I mention that the "spare" foot is feeling cold and ask if they could be alternately wrapped up and worked on throughout the treatment?

hi tiptop,

its hard for me to comment on what another therapist does but paramount should be your comfort.

i've no doubt she is aware of your cold feet and the sessions will help to boost and improve your circulation. i work on one foot at a time but i know others who alternate. by all means mention it though, because it is hard to relax if you are being aware of these things.

its a pity she may not be able to work with you on the day you want... i am sure it will work itself out. how many sessions have you had now?

rosies - Sorry that it's taken me so long to come back to this. Thanks for your post. A quick update - the last reflexology session went well, although I had a really busy evening and the rest of the weekend too, and forgot to drink the water I usually do after a session. I must do that next time. I didn't ask about working on alternate feet. I used the blanket and relaxed quickly and I didn't seem to notice my cold feet as much. Dh says that my feet have an amazing ability to go from warm feet (eventually - after I've warmed them on his body!) to freezing if I hop out of bed for a mo. Even at this time of the year, he jumps if I place my hands or feet on his bare skin! I don't know how many sessions I've had. About 8 or 10 by now, I expect. I go every 4 or 5 weeks. Thanks again for your help.

Chocol8 - I still haven't sent you that CAT. Will do it today.
