Hello. Thank you for allowing me to join this forum. My husband was diagnosed with throat cancer in September. He's completed the treatment now, and we are awaiting his first scan post radiotherapy/chemotherapy to see what happens next.

We were both surprised and unprepared for his dysphonic changes, and I wonder if we had sought out support from a Speech and Language Therapist, or a vocal professional, the treatment would have been easier for him. Hindsight is 20/20...
The reason for my post: I am currently a musician and postgraduate student doing a group project for my course. For obvious reasons, we are looking at using collaborative music creation and vocal training to accompany patients with throat cancer, with a view to supporting mental health, providing practical vocal exercises, and creating a lasting legacy through song writing. This is an academic project to train us in putting projects together, and as part of this work, we need feedback from people who have had cancer. I've added a link to an anonymous google form. It contains ten short questions that shouldn't take very long to answer. If you know anyone that would be willing to contribute, I'd be very grateful.
