Chest pains and high blood pressure

I had chest pains a couple of days ago. Went to hospital to be checked out but they found nothing wrong, apart from very high blood pressure.

I've been monitoring it at home since, it's thankfully come down but is still too high so going to make a Gp appointment this week.

On top of all this I'm constantly tired, muscles ache and my stomach is very bloated.

Could all this be connected? I had blood tests last week so know I'm not anaemic, ovarian cancer markers were low, no thyroid or vit D issues.

Don’t try to second guess the doctor - you’ll fall down a rabbit hole of self diagnosing.

If you get chest pains again phone 111/999, but otherwise wait for a medical opinion. I could offer a few suggestions, but I’m just some random from the internet with no idea!

I'm definitely going to see my GP!

Just interested in opinions and others experiences tbh.

If you want to bring your BP down naturally, go on a whole foods plant based diet. So basically eat whole grains, beans, fruits, veggies. Check out forks over knives.

Sadly I've tried that and it sent my blood sugar out of control.

Really?! That is so strange. It is supposed to reverse diabetes as well. What did you eat on a typical day?

A typical day would be something like.

Oatmeal made with water, toppings - berries, flax, small amount of walnuts
lunch - brown rice, beans, avocado, veggies, sweet potato
snack - smoothie and fruits/seeds or nuts (small amount)
dinner - huge salad, veggie soup with some beans, or potato

Yes - oatmeal, rice, potatoes, other starchy veg, most fruits - all send it sky high and it doesn't come down.

I tried it because I read a few reports it was good for diabetes. It might be for some, but not for me annoyingly.
