Epi-pen purchase - cheapest provider?

New to this. So it seems you have to pay the full cost for these despite needing a prescription, is there any way cheaper than £100 for 2 pens?

Well tomorrow I will try to find out if it's gone to her GP or not.

The irony about needing one to fly is that it's unlikely to be enough to save a life, they only buy time to get to A&E Sad

My daughter got an emergency insulin pen by calling 111. They sent a prescription to a pharmacy. Only one though rather than the usual 5.

Wow,how do you manage to get five?!

We practically have to beg for the standard 2 and ds has needed them for the last 18 years!

Once a GP said as he hadn't ever used them he didn't need them so wouldn't prescribe them. I had to take in a copy of the consultants care plan from Guys hospital allergy clinic to get it reversed.

Insulin, not epipen. I know it's a different thing, but wondered if there might be a similar set up.

Adrenaline auto-injectors are prescription only medicines. You need a prescription and as an adult will need to pay the current prescription charge per item.
I have mine on repeat and just have to request a new pen as needed.

You can buy them privately. You fill out on on line assessment.
